[How To] Gundam Model Kits Weathering Tutorial

This post will show you how to give weathering effect to your Gundam model kits. First of all, Im still new and Im sure there’s a lot of better weathering master out there, but in this post i think my knowledge will help you give a reference how to give your Gundam a weathering effect.
First of all, you need plastic model.

For first step, spray flat coat to your part, I use Mr. Hobby – Mr. Super Clear Flat.

After that prepare a lot of cotton bud, enamel paint and thinner.

Add enamel paint directly to your cotton bud

Apply your cotton bud into the parts, add to every corner and panel lines.

After dry, apply a bit of flat top coat again and prepare rough brush with grey enamel paint.

Give your brush a bit of grey enamel paint, try to apply it in tissue or dry cloth to prevent excess paint in your parts, this technique is called dry brushing

Brush it to your part and the result will look like this.

Too messy? Too dirty for your taste? No problem, apply enamel thinner to cotton bud and gently clean your parts, end result should be look like this.
